Your account holds a USDC balance that backs every Hedge: margin and fees are drawn from it when you open, and returned to it when you close or settle. Funding and withdrawals are handled on the partner desk today - there is no funding or withdrawal API endpoint.
Your balance
GET /account shows your balance and how much of it is committed:
balance_usdc - free, spendable USDC.margin_used_usdc - collateral locked across open Hedges.available_exposure_usd - how much more notional you can open under your cap.

Funding your account
Fund your account by sending USDC to your account address. Your address is returned as account_address on GET /account, and is shown on the desk. Deposits credit your balance_usdc once confirmed on-chain.
Send only USDC, on the network shown on the desk, to your account address. Sending another asset or using another network can result in lost funds.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals are initiated from the desk: you request an amount and it’s returned in USDC to your destination address. There is no withdrawal API endpoint today. You can withdraw any free balance that isn’t locked as margin for an open Hedge.
Sandbox
Sandbox accounts come pre-funded with test USDC, so you can open and settle Hedges end to end without moving real money. Balances are separate from production. See Sandbox.
